Beautiful hotel. Great location really good breakfast lots of options and it was constantly replenished so it didn’t matter what time you got to the breakfast room there was always plenty there. We had our breakfast around 8 AM but one morning we were a little later and when we left at 9:30, there was still plenty of hot options like scrambled eggs, oatmeal, etc. so it must be replenished pretty often. The breakfast itself I thought was really good. Just a couple of minor things I would change. Coffee was available, but on the second morning of our stay, there was no decaffeinated, which is what I have to have usually as I have a problem with too much caffeine. I did see the lady in the small kitchen, but she said oh we haven’t got any so I don’t know what that meant. I do think the should always be an option of decaffeinated coffee in a hotel. Also, they made really delicious oatmeal, but there was only breakfast syrup, there was no real maple syrup. Rooms are very clean. The room was also a little larger than the average hotel room, which was nice, and with some additional touches like a basket with a blanket and a cushion so you could sit outside if it was chilly. We were in room 703 which is on the ground floor or the first floor and the views were spectacular. As others have said, the walls are thin, and we could hear occasionally some movement from the upstairs room, but this was nothing really. The sound of the waves basically obliterated any noises we might be hearing from outside! The grounds were beautiful, and the landscaping was lovely. It was very clean. Obviously a lot of care has gone into the landscaping, that was apparent. I also like that there were lots of places to sit outside from swinging chairs to benches to Adirondacks. They’re also fire pets which we did not use. Whilst the hotel is close to the road, we did not really hear any traffic noise because of the sound of the ocean. It was just a lovely hotel and I would definitely come back

We ded our 6 day vacation staying at the Inn at the Cove in Pismo Beach. Here are a few thoughts. This property is absolutely stunning. It well built, quiet (even though the 101 is nearby). The landscaping was done by a master. The pool is heated to a perfect temperature. The spa holds 7 people and was a bit too warm for me to stay in very long. Others my find it perfect. There are gas fire pits on the bluffs overlooking the ocean that management will light for you if you want to have bonfire, smores, etc. They will clean your room and make your bed every day if you ask them. Robes are provided for walking to and from the pool. Pool towels are provided at the pool. Lots of mattress chaise lounges around the pool. The beds are a bit hard (I prefer a softer mattress), but others may find them just fine. On the downside, the windows all have shutters that slide from side to side so that you will never get the full view of the ocean through the double floor-to-ceiling windows. One half will always be block by the shutters. I would suggest a remodel to position the shutters so that the slide onto the wall to expose a full view of the ocean from both windows. The pool umbrellas are not left up. You have to raise them yourself. They are heavy duty. Very difficult for one person to raise them and poke in the stop rod. I managed once, but had to get management to do it the second time. Suggest umbrellas with a crank. There is a very large rock in the ocean about ¼ of a mile from the Inn. Pelicans (lots of them) use is as their resting place…and their pooping place. If the wind is blowing in the wrong direction, there is a definite odor in the air. But it is not overpowering. Breakfast is open until 10:00 and consists of scrambled eggs, sausages, potatoes, cereals, Belgian waffles, orange and apple juice, muffins, hard boiled eggs, oat meal, almond milk, coffee/tea. Altogether, a very fine breakfast in a room overlooking the pool.

Lovely ocean front property on two levels - ground (upper rooms) and lower level. There is access to a small pool and a sheltered cove via a stairway. Great little balconies overlooking the ocean, with a walkway to a nearby children’s play park and neighbourhood sea front walk. Car parking is at the door, making the management of luggage really easy. The hotel is contemporary in style and immaculately kept. Our room was large and really well equipped. The staff are exceptional. Their communication approach is way beyond expectations. They text regularly with updates and respond really promptly to any requests. It is a highly personalised approach, and while staff must be asked the same questions many times, they respond to questions in a very helpful and informative way. The complimentary breakfast was great for our needs - juices, yogurt, eggs, porridge, toast etc. There are a few restaurants and bars within walking distance. We also enjoyed walking into Pismo, but we like a longer walk!! We would return in a heartbeat! Thank you to all the team at the Inn the the Cove!

Loved the view, didn’t like the balcony so close to the neighboring rooms but it was nice anyway, a screen on the sides would be nice. Our toilet got clogged once so I think there’s low pressure in the property, the rooms were really clean and I seen the housekeeping cleaning the rooms very well so that was good, I’m a germaphobic. The hotel manager, believe his name is Miguel was really nice and welcoming, he even moved us to a different room (reasons not related to the hotel) upon request and looked for my sons toy that he had left in the other room. The staff were really nice. The breakfast was good, it’s actually hot breakfast and noticed on Friday they even had potatoes, along with the usual sausage and eggs which was good. Over all I really liked my stay, will stay again.

I highly recommend the Inn at the Cove if you're doing the Pacific Coast Highway and looking for a stop before LA. The natural surroundings are stunning, with a private rocky beach to explore and plenty of wildlife, including beautiful birds. It's incredibly relaxing! The pool and jacuzzi were great, and breakfast was plentiful—just what you need to start the day. Nearby, there's an In-N-Out and Walmart, which made meals and shopping super convenient. The town itself is charming, and everything about our stay was perfect. The room was spacious and comfortable.
